LGBTIQA+ Inclusion Workshops
Our LGBTIQA+ inclusion workshops offer everything you need to know to build an inclusive workplace for your LGBTIQA+ colleagues, inclusive services for your LGBTIQA+ clients, or both!
With our sessions running from two hours to a full day, you will support your people by improving their awareness and understanding, as we teach them how to impact real change for the LGBTIQA+ people around them.
All of our LGBT workshops can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your organisation or your participant's variety of knowledge. We bring lived experience, share stories, and ensure that the spaces we build with you are safe spaces for your people to explore their knowledge and understanding.
If you are ready to ensure your workplace and your service are inclusive of LGBTIQA+ people, complete our workshop inquiry form below.
Our Inclusion Workshops
We offer three Inclusion Workshops that build on each other and go deeper the longer we run the workshop.
Below we list the kinds of questions we answer in each workshop, but we also have the joy of being able to mould any of our workshops to focus on the things you and your people want to connect with most.
Sparking Awareness
Duration: 2 hours
Price: $1990
When you’re finished with our introductory Sparking Awareness Workshop you and your team will be aware of the everyday issues people from the LGBTIQA+ community face, how to be a better ally and some do’s and don'ts when interacting with others in the workplace.
These are the common questions we answer in our Sparking Awareness Workshop:
What do all these letters LGBTIQA+ even mean?
Aren’t there other letters too?
What is all the fuss about pronouns?
What does it even mean to be LGBTIQA+ inclusive?
Can I call myself an Ally?
You’re not discriminated against now, surely, can’t you get married and everything?
Where can someone go for help if they’re questioning their identity?
Does displaying rainbow flags in my business really make a difference?
Have LGBTIQA+ people always existed?
Why do there have to be so many labels? Aren’t we all just “human”?
Did I hear that statistic right about queer people and significantly worse mental health outcomes?
Why are so many people now wanting me to say “they” instead of “she” or “he”? What changed?
Sparking Understanding
Duration: 4 hours*
Price: $2990
Our Sparking Understanding Workshop builds on everything covered in Sparking Awareness. This extended workshop gives attendees a deeper understanding of LBTIQA+ identities and inspires them to actively participate in being the change they want to see in their workplace.
Along with all of the questions from Sparking Awareness, our Sparking Understanding Workshop also answers these questions:
What is homophobia?
What is transphobia?
Can Trans people be gay too?
How does someone even know they’re LGBTIQA+?
Are people really still scared to “come out” at work?
Which organisations are best to tell my friend/kid/parent about for information or support?
Have things changed much over time for LGBTIQA+ people?
There’s been a Trans person on Neighbours – surely visibility is sorted now?
Why do the words you call yourselves keep changing?
*Includes one 15-minute break
Sparking Change
Duration: Full Day*
Price: $3990
Our Sparking Change Workshop aims to give attendees the most comprehensive understanding by going even deeper into LGBTIQA+ issues and identities and giving them the tools to build interpersonal and organisation-wide inclusion.
The Sparking Change Workshop includes and builds on the two other Inclusion Workshops, as well as answering the following questions:
Why is “coming out” a big deal?
Is it still hard for people to be LGBTIQA+ here in Australia? What about around the world?
Why doesn’t that Trans person look like the gender they say they are?
Do I need to talk about my pronouns if I’m not Trans?
How can I help fight against homophobia and transphobia?
Why are days of significance a thing? Are rainbow cupcake days really helping anyone?
What can we actually do to make our workplace inclusive for all people of diverse genders and sexualities?
How can I be the best, most fabulous, sparkliest A1 Ally to my LGBTIQA+ friends, colleagues and community?
*A full day is 7 hours and includes two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute lunch break

Workshop Magic
Talking about LGBTIQA+ inclusion can be tricky for some people, there is a lot to learn and some of it can feel confronting and overwhelming.
This is where a healthy sprinkle of our Workshop Magic comes in handy.
We want all our workshops to feel like an inclusive experience. You’ll walk away afterwards with a warm fuzzy feeling knowing someone thought about you when they prepared it.
Our Founder Zoé brings that same magic to create a safe space with her workshop attendees, allowing and empowering everyone to have their burning questions answered.
We make this workshop extra inclusive by bringing along the following tools anyone can use to participate however they want.
-
Sensory Tools
Ease any anxiety or support emotional regulation
-
Colouring Sheets & Markers
Aid in concentration
-
Name & Pronoun Stickers
Help remove misgendering and create a feeling of belonging
-
Multi-Modal Participation Tools
Help every attendee find the best way to take in the information and engage in the interactive activities.

Why Book a Workshop
Your Point of Difference
Genuine LGBTIQA+ inclusion can be your organisation’s point of difference as an employer and a service provider. Our workshops support you to deliver that.
Lived Experience
We bring lived experience perspectives of LGBTIQA+ communities, mental illness, low socioeconomic upbringing and domestic violence. Our people are of all types of diverse backgrounds and we centre the voices of lived experience.
Sustainable
Our employee-led approach is the perfect match for the leader-led approach to inclusion and belonging many organisations are adopting. We ensure a strong and sustainable approach to inclusion outcomes by connecting these two often disparate groups.
Employer of Choice
We partner with you to build inclusive workplaces for LGBTQIA+ employees, supporting you to prove your genuine commitment to becoming an Employer of Choice for LGBTIQA+ job seekers.
Building Safe Spaces
We excel at co-designing safe spaces with our attendees. We allow everyone the freedom and support they need to feel empowered to ask us anything. We foster a culture of curiosity and trust, where no question is off-limits.

FAQs
-
Of course! We can tailor our content to your organisation's work, bringing relevant statistics and stories.
We can also adjust each session to meet the depth of understanding that already exists within your group. Let us know in the booking form if you would like to take advantage of this offer.
-
Workshops are delivered face-to-face to ensure participants can ask questions in a safe, supportive, and interactive environment.
Each of our sessions can also be delivered online via Zoom technology, as slightly edited versions, with limited interactive elements and less opportunity to build rapport in a place of safety.
Having said that, it’s more important to us that we can reach as many organisations that need us as possible. If we are unable to offer the workshop in-person, we are more than happy to conduct it online for the same price.
-
All of our workshops are suited to all of your people. From your junior colleagues to your senior leaders, there is something for everyone to learn.
-
Yes, we have an expertly curated list of LGBTIQA+ resources to share with your people at the end of their workshop. We also share great ideas and resources throughout the workshop as well.
-
