Welcome to Spark & Co

EDI Consultancy and Workshops

Spark & Co specialises in D&I consulting centred around inclusion, belonging and cultural change within organisations.

Our unique approach challenges the traditional tick-a-box mentality of diversity and inclusion efforts and replaces them with impactful, staff-led outcomes.

Our Founder and CEO, Zoé Kennedy, brings over 20 years of experience leading, establishing, and advising staff networks and delivering bespoke LGBTIQA+ inclusion learning experiences. As a proud and active member of the LGBTIQA+ community, Zoé passionately believes in the power of lived experience in driving cultural change.

Zoé has a wealth of experience facilitating, public speaking and convening events as MC and a reputation for delivering vibrant, engaging events.  Zoé applies a seemingly endless stream of energy and passion to their work, allowing your people to feel a sense of connection to the changes you will build together.

Together, we can build your very own version of “Best-For-You Practice”

We exist to empower and create impact across all workplaces.

After 20 years working in government, I found the perfect moment to step out and create a way to build inclusive workplaces and services. I now strive to do D&I consulting differently. Spark & Co is my space to share my experience, my passion and who I am.

Podcast Appearances

Impact Policy Podcast, Episode 2.

Impact Policy Podcast is talking all things ACCESS, JUSTICE, EQUITY and INCLUSION with those in the know and with a story to tell.

I turned up to meet podcast host Sam, thinking we would chat about planning the podcast chat….and all of sudden we are having the podcast chat!

I loved the conversation we were able to have. Sam held space so beautifully and we got to explore the power of storytelling, dealing with challenges and how to build impactful workplace networks.

Let’s Crew & Riot, Episode 6,
Hosted by Chin Ru Foo of
Crew & Riot

What's CREW & RIOT? It's a podcast for honest and fearless conversations about challenging the status quo as a woman in 2023

I was introduced to Chin Ru through equity, diversity and inclusion powerhouse and one of my favourite humans in the world, Em Palmer.

With Chin Ru being London-based, my Acknowledgement of Country tapped into a whole conversation about this important cultural protocol and the ways we can show respect to the Elders and Traditional Custodians of the lands we are on.

Exploring grassroots community building in workplaces was excellent, and was perfectly rounded out in how finding our people improves our wellbeing.

Fun stuff I’ve done/been involved in

  • Rehearsed for over a year and then sang in a massed choir in a never-before-performed-in-Australia event which became a documentary called The Curse of the Gothic

  • Travelled to Singapore to sing in a performance of Gustav Holst’s, The Planets with the Orchestra of the Music Makers, a philanthropic collection of players

  • Represented Dykes on Bikes in the community show at the Sydney Mardi Gras after party

  • Established the first-ever whole of NSW public sector Pride network, now known as Pride in NSW

  • Moved from London to Den Haag using only public transport!

If there’s one word you could use to describe your experience working with Zoé, what would it be?
